Clam Chowder

Manhattan Clam Chowder

2 cans of clams add more if you can afford them
1 can mixed vegetables
1 can tomatoes diced/whole/crushed
1 T dried onions
1/2 tsp. garlic
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. oregano
2 T olive oil
1 T balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste

Combine all of the above ingredients, including the liquids they are packed in. Heat through and serve with bread, crackers or biscuits.

New England Clam Chowder:

Replace tomatoes with can of evaporated milk and 1 can water. Skip the vinegar and add bacon bits. Serve with crackers, bread or biscuits
